The two cathedrals dominate Liverpool’s skyline representing the Anglican and Roman Catholic faiths in the city. Appropriately both are joined by Hope Street. The Cathedrals were dubbed paddy’s wigwam and the gothic pile (Dracula’s castle was another). The Lyrics of a famous folk song refer to both Cathedrals and the Epstein Sculpture. “In my Liverpool Home we speak with an accent exceedingly rare, Meet under a statue exceedingly bare. And if you want a Cathedral we’ve got one to spare”
