This picture combines a recent addition to the cities sky line Beetham Tower with the Sculpture ‘Dicky Lewis’ (bottom right hand corner) Symbolising Liverpool’s history the Spirit of Liverpool Resurgent by Jacob Epstein was unveiled in 1956 outside John Lewis’s department store.It caused much discussion and criticism at the time and has been nicknamed Dicky Lewis since.
