The Meccano Liver Bird stretches its multi-coloured feathers and looks out over the Mersey. Through its steely screwed eyes, it watches as large sheets of metal and rivets go gently floating by. The Liver Bird - born, bred and assembled at the Liverpool Meccano factory - has seen everything; everything but its twin standing at the other end of the Liver Building and facing in the opposite direction.
